Laser Cut Acrylic

Laser cut acrylic signs may sound like very simple tasks, especially for those who know that laser cutting is done on hard metals like stainless steel. As a matter of fact, performing a laser cutting job on metal such as stainless steel can be very easy compared to a laser cut acrylic sign. Acrylic is a soft material and utmost caution should be practiced while the cutting job is going on because if something goes wrong, the entire surface will become milky due to heat. This will not only affect the results of such a job but in the long run, you will not get an attractive signboard either.

We have noticed that a good number of laser cutting companies have no idea on how to perform laser cut acrylic jobs. Some of them believe that maintaining temperature throughout the process is the only important task but there are many other things to be considered. For instance, it's not an uncommon incident where you will end up with dust accumulated in the gap. Cleaning this dust is done with utmost care because if something goes wrong while cleaning this dust, it can destroy the whole design.

For instance, the dust between is removed with a dry cloth to avoid scratch but using wet cloth can be much more damaging! Wet cloth can activate the color particles in the dust to actively create a form of paint and this will spoil the whole design. Since many laser cut acrylic companies do not have any idea on how to clean the dust, they will simply leave it without cleaning the dust but the customer will have to go through all the downsides of such an action. This is why we recommend an experienced company to undertake such tasks.
